Celebrating Excellence program recognizes achievement
The College of Family and Consumer Sciences recognized donors, student scholarship and research award recipients and faculty and staff members in the sixth annual Celebrating Excellence Recognition Program, presented in a virtual format this year to protect the health and safety of all.
A 24-page virtual program includes special video messages that highlight the honorees, featuring a welcome message from Dean Linda Kirk Fox and a keynote address from FACS alumna DeRetta Cole Rhodes, now an executive with the Atlanta Braves.
"While we regret not being able to gather in person, we are grateful that technology allows us to celebrate and express our sincere thanks and congratulations to our honorees," Dean Fox said. "Our donors, students, faculty and staff have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the FACS family despite these challenging times and we're proud to celebrate that devotion and investment in our mission."
In addition to the digital program, all donors, scholarship and award winners will receive a hardcover edition of the pictorial history book "100 Years Enriching Lives: Family and Consumer Sciences at UGA" as a token of gratitude.
