Teaming for Interdisciplinary Research (TIR) Pre-Seed Program proposals are due November 16. This program directly supports several of our Strategic Plan Research goals. The TIR Pre-seed Program provides early stage developmental funding for team-building activities to facilitate the formation of faculty teams and collaboration around critical areas of research expertise or emerging research topics. https://research.uga.edu/team-pre-seeds/about/
Mid-Semester Formative Evaluation (MSFE)
This is an evidence-based process facilitated by the CTL and open to all UGA instructors. By giving up just 25 minutes of class time, you will receive robust feedback on your students’ experience in your class so far, along with access to a CTL consultant to identify effective responses to that feedback. Research shows that this simple intervention can increase student learning and satisfaction in a course, and boost your ability to be responsive to their needs. All instructors are invited to participate. https://ugeorgia.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_575om3gdnD4i9Nz

Religious Holidays Attendance Policy
The university asks faculty members for understanding of recognized religious holidays and to allow students in this situation to make up the work that is missed or, at the instructor’s discretion, be given an alternative assignment in lieu of the work missed. The policy is available here: https://provost.uga.edu/policies/academic-affairs-policy-manual/4-06-class-attendance/ and a listing of major religious holidays can be found here: http://www.interfaith-calendar.org/
