1. Dawg Check

Bulldog Basics has a new platform for students to request up to five items and pick up from their designated location. Pick up locations are Dawson Hall, the ASPIRE Clinic, and the Tate Student Center. Students must log into the eStore with their UGA email address. Once the order is complete and ready for pick up, students will receive an email with their order number.

3. AAFCS Member Open Forum Digest – Take the Survey!
Researchers from Maryland, Virginia, South Dakota, and Nova Scotia are conducting the research project “College Students and COVID-19: Examining Financial Well-being, College Persistence, and Happiness post-COVID." This survey focuses on how college students compare aspects of their life before COVID (before March) and now (since March). Respondents can enter a random drawing for one of ten $25 Amazon gift cards.

FACS Alumni Association – Archside Chats and Nedza's Food Truck
The FACS Alumni Association is launching a new series, called Archside Chat that will focus on connecting student and alumni related topics of mutual interest where alumni can offer insights to current students. The Student Success & Advising Center (SSAC) and the FACS Alumni Association is hosting Nedza's Food Truck for FACS students on Tuesday, November 17th. Register below by Friday, November 6th to receive a FREE treat. Access the registration form here. Registration is required to receive a free treat.
The University of Georgia's oldest study abroad program has been operating in the medieval Tuscan hill town of Cortona, Italy for more than 50 years. UGA Cortona offers an extensive list of studio art and art history courses, as well as classes in Italian, English, Women's Studies, Science, Business, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Agriculture. Earn UGA credit while living in Tuscany and traveling with the program to Italian cities such as Rome, Florence, Venice, Siena, Naples, Orvieto, Assisi, and many more!

6. Office of Global Engagement Photo Contest
The annual OGE Study Away Photo and Video Contest is back! The Photo Contest is open to all UGA students having recently studied, traveled, or worked abroad or domestically on a UGA approved program. Photo submissions must have been taken during abroad or domestic programs in one of the following academic terms: Fall 2019, Spring 2020, Maymester 2020, and Summer 2020 (including break programs such as Thanksgiving Break and Spring Break).
Students may submit up to 10 photos total and one video. The deadline for submissions is November 6, 2020.
7. New! Couture a la Cart e-Commerce Website
Couture a la Cart now has an online e-commerce website for students, faculty and staff to shop from the comfort of their own homes! Our selling season has been condensed due to COVID and is ending on October 30th. We will be offering product pick up at our cart or delivery on campus. Follow us on Instagram - @couturealcart
8. SSAC Internship – Deadline Extended!
The Student Success and Advising Center is seeking interns for this upcoming spring! This internship provides FACS students with opportunities and experiences to learn about student affairs in higher education via the work done in the SSAC. Some responsibilities include: recruit new students; assist with preparation and planning related to project management; support student programs; and interact with a diverse population of students, alumni, faculty, staff, etc.

9. 4th Annual Georgia Center Pumpkin Decorating Contest – Vote SSAC!
The Student Success and Advising Center (SSAC) has submitted a pumpkin into the 4th Annual Georgia Center Pumpkin Decorating Contest! The theme is Serving the World and each department is represented! The People's Choice Award voting begins October 21st and continues through October 30th until 2:00 p.m. Stop by the Bulldog Bistro pumpkin display in the GA Center to vote for our pumpkin! If you vote, you can get 10% off your bill if you decide to order from the Bulldog Bistro. Happy Halloween to all students, staff, and faculty!!
