Students in Dr. Laura McAndrews’ Digital Apparel Design and Development Applications class will used their graphic design skills to create a T-shirt that encompasses the true essence of FACS.

The winning design will be chosen by a vote of FACS students, faculty, staff and alumni in November and the shirt will be made available for purchase later this fall.

Last year, the competition raised almost $900 for student support initiatives that included scholarship awards.

As part of the competition, students will interview faculty and students from each of the four departments to gain a full understanding of the college, then incorporate their findings into the graphic design using software gifted by Lectra Kaledo.

Students also will use social media to market their design and encourage their peers and the FACS community to vote.
