June 21, 2023

Suzanne Griffeth has been hired as the Director of Development for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Griffeth, who began her duties on June 15, previously served as Director of Alumni Engagement, Annual Giving and Stewardship at the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences for the last decade.

A 1999 FACS grad, Griffeth began her UGA career in the college as the Director of Alumni Relations and Student Leadership and also served as a development officer.

She also has worked in alumni relations at the UGA Law School.

Griffeth said she is "thrilled" to return to her alma mater, where her educational journey began and where she forged lifelong connections.

“Coming back to my alma mater feels like a homecoming," she said. "I’m honored and grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, engage with generous donors, and build meaningful relationships with friends of the college. FACS holds a special place in my heart, and I'm eager to contribute to its mission of advancing the well-being of individuals and their families.”

As director of development, Griffeth serves as the liaison between the college and UGA Development and Alumni Relations. Her primary responsibilities include raising major gifts, providing strategic direction for all levels of giving, including annual gifts and stewardship, and fostering strong relationships with alumni and donors.

"We're excited to have Suzanne as a member of our team," FACS Dean Anisa Zvonkovic said. "She brings a wealth of experience to her position as well as a passion for FACS that is evident in all of her interactions."
