Effie Antonoudi serves as an instructor and Undergraduate Coordinator in the Department of Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics. She is responsible for teaching courses and supporting advising and program management at the UGA Griffin Campus. Effie serves as the Undergraduate Coordinator for all Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics majors and minors and she serves as a liaison with the other UGA schools and colleges, other institutions of higher education, and the community.
Effie created the FACS Greece Study Abroad Program at the University of Georgia. Students from FACS and across UGA experience the country and its cultural heritage, as well as an in-depth look at the causes and aftermath of Greece’s recent financial crisis, including the current conditions and how consumers have been impacted.
Effie received a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Macedonia in Greece, an M.B.A. and M.P.A. from Georgia State University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in personal financial planning at Kansas State University. Effie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and has over ten years of experience in business – in financial consulting, marketing, accounting, auditing, and, most recently, international tax consulting. She has also worked with the Executive M.B.A. Program at Georgia State University. Effie joined the University of Georgia in January 2016.
