Job Description
As a Graduate Assistant with the University of Georgia’s TRiO Student Support Services and STEM-H programs, I support the academic persistence, professional development, and holistic success of first-generation students. Grounded in a student-centered and strenght-based approach, I facilitate workshops and programming, advise undergraduate students, and help coordinate signature events and community-building and well-being opportunities. I also support program assessment through data collection and reporting, develop communications and outreach content, and collaborate across campus to strengthen pathways to student success.
Drawing on my background in prevention, research, and community engagement, I approach this work with an emphasis on culturally responsive programming, relational support, and strengths-based leadership. My role allows me to bridge program development, student advising, research-informed practice, and community partnership while helping students recognize and build upon their own strengths, resources, and capacity for success.
