- Learn about the history of the Georgia State Capitol and past political leaders
- Gain a better understanding of how to apply a FACS degree in your career path
- Learn about the legislative process and local issues of importance
- Meet your FACS Legislative Aides and learn more about the program
- Connect with Representatives and Senators from the Athens area
- Network with FACS students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, and Extension Agents
- Show your UGA spirit and FACS pride
Schedule Highlights
- Observations and reading of the resolution in the House and Senate
- Lunch with local Representatives and our guest speaker, Commissioner Christopher Nunn from the Department of Community Affairs
- Observations of committee meetings

1:00pm - House and Senate Committee Meetings
2:30pm - Return to Athens
