The Department of Foods and Nutrition at the University of Georgia Seeks
- Men and women between the ages of 30-64 years, healthy or "high cholesterol levels"
- Must not take cholesterol-lowering or thyroid medications or have diabetes
Compensation: up to $210
These studies require a 4-8 week commitment and 3-4 testing visits. All visits require blood draws, and you may have to pick up meals once per week.
What happens on the test visits?
- We will measure your weight, blood pressure, body fat percentage, and metabolic rate or vascular health, and collect a blood sample.
- We may collect small amounts of blood and measure your metabolism or vascular health before and after a meal throughout the morning.
All visits include blood draws.
May require daily consumption of pecans or provided meals for 4-8 weeks
May require weekly meal pick-ups
You Will Learn
Your body weight, waist circumference, body fat percentage, blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol levels.
