I understand the practicum course is taken thru-session summer semester with a total of 40 hours of outreach and education to be completed in the following fall and spring semesters.
I understand that a practicum is at the discretion of the instructor of record. Placement is based on space availability as well as the student’s application packet, GPA, and interview.
I understand that I will register for 3 credit hours of NUTR 5800
I understand that my cumulative GPA must be 3.0 when I register for NUTR 5800.
I will have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours prior to beginning my internship
I will have completed at least 3 NUTR classes with a grade of “C” or better prior to beginning my internship.
I understand that the Peer Nutrition Educator Internship is a 1 year commitment: training is in June & July and programming is the following August through April.
I understand that I am solely responsible for having reliable transportation to presentations throughout my practicum.
I have completed a Program of Study plan with my advisor.
