Research

My research centers on determining the efficacy of non-diet approaches to improve health and well-being, and my courses likewise challenge diet culture and incorporate the deleterious effects of weight stigma on health. I also have decades of experience using imaging techniques for assessment of bone and body composition and employing dietary and physical activity interventions to reduce the risk of chronic disease, including osteoporosis.
