Building Emergency Action Plan (BEAP)

1. Overview
This Building Emergency Action Plan (BEAP) prepares occupants for emergency situations. It is developed by the Building Safety Team (BST) and reviewed by the Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP).

Evacuation Locations
- East Exit: Across Cedar Street
- West Exit: Across D.W. Brooks Drive
- North Exit: Conner Hall parking lot
- Alternate: Myers Quad
Procedures
- Evacuate immediately
- Call 911
- Do not use elevators
- Assist others if needed
- Do not re-enter until cleared
5. Medical Emergencies
- Call 911 immediately
- Provide location and details
- Do not move injured person unless necessary
- Provide first aid if trained
6. Tornado Procedures
Shelter Areas
- Basement rooms and stairwells
- Windowless interior rooms
During Warning
- Move to lowest level
- Avoid windows
- Protect head and neck
- Wait for all-clear
7. Hazardous Materials Spill
- Evacuate area
- Call 911
- Avoid contact

8. Suspicious Person
- Call 911
- Provide description
- Keep distance
- Lock doors if necessary
