Sports Nutrition

Students enrolled in the Nutritional Sciences graduate program may elect to complete an area of emphasis in Sports Nutrition. This emphasis area spans general wellness, competitive athletes, children, older adults, and people with disabilities.

Quick Facts

  • Pursue sports nutrition courses, internships, and research as part of your graduate degree in Nutritional Sciences
  • Requires 12 and 18 credit hours in nutrition and exercise science (approximately 4 to 6 courses)
  • Registered Dietitians can meet some requirements for the Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) examination through the Commission for Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Upon completion, your transcript will indicate you met requirements
