- Why I chose my major
I chose to major in Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) at the advice of my high school counselor when I initially applied to UGA. I knew I wanted to pursue a career centered around serving and helping others, and the coursework in the HDFS program offered a diverse array of classes which would prepare me to enter a variety of different helping careers. Once I began college and decided to pursue occupational therapy, it was clear that a degree in HDFS would prepare me to be a strong candidate for occupational therapy school and to become an overall well-rounded future therapist.
- What I like most about FACS
The thing I love most about FACS is the culture of togetherness and community. Since FACS is a smaller college compared to others at UGA, I got to experience four years of courses with some of the same classmates and professors each semester. This allowed for deeper connections and friendships, which I really value at a school as big as UGA.
- Post-graduation plans
I am pursuing a Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy at Augusta University beginning in May.
