- Why I chose my major
I chose my major because of the education I would gain in human nutrition, specifically about how nutrition can improve our lives. In the future I hope to be a physician working in preventative and primary care and having a strong background in how nutrition can go hand and hand with medicine is something that I want to have. Also, I enjoyed the fact that my major was in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences because I knew it would connect me to a tight-knit community of like-minded people. As a pre-health student, the opportunities in leadership, service and research are amazing here in Dawson Hall.
- What I like most about FACS
What I enjoy most about FACS is the community. The students here in Dawson Hall hold diverse mindsets and everyone is able to bring new insights into conversations. Everyone here is incredibly welcoming, helpful and looking to collaborate. I also find it refreshing how the students here have so many career interests, leading to extremely unique and eye-opening conversations in the classroom. The faculty and staff here are just as incredible as the students, and they are always looking for ways to connect to the students and help them throughout their journey here at UGA.
