Activities and Honors

Fall of 2017, I studied abroad at the University of Oxford in the UK for the semester. I have been involved with several campus ministries over the years including UGA’s Wesley Organization and Baptist Collegiate Ministry but am currently involved with Watkinsville First Baptist College Ministry. I am a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. I am currently a digital stylist at Cheeky Peach Boutique in downtown Athens. I have had the honor of receiving multiple FACS scholarships over the years and have maintained a spot on the Dean’s List consistently while at UGA.

Why I chose my major

I essentially chose what I wanted to learn. I have always loved fashion - the creative expression and fun it allows, changing the way you feel about yourself day to day. Interior design felt less natural, but equally exciting, and I loved the idea of a residential focus. We spend our lives in homes and clothes; I want to make them beautiful.

What I like most about FACS

FACS has given me a community I never thought possible at a school of UGA’s size. Furnishings and Interiors is a cohort-based program, giving me a group of friends that has gone through life with me for the past three years. I’m very thankful for the personal atmosphere and the inviting presence of the faculty.

Post-graduation plans

I am interviewing with design firms and fashion brands across the Southeast. I’m excited to dive into either industry, soaking up life experience to expand on my education!
