- Why I chose my major
I have always grown up around food and nutrition, with my father being a chef. It was my first year of college when I was trying to decide on a major when I asked myself what I enjoyed learning about most. What set my soul on fire? What felt natural? Nutrition. Once I learned about the Registered Dietitian pathway and the fact there it is a career built on helping people and educating them about nutrition – I was hooked.
- What I like most about FACS
The community. I always felt like the faculty and staff had my best interest at heart and really strived to help me succeed. Dr. Laing is a gem in the FACS college, and because of her, I will always recommend FACS to upcoming students asking about my UGA experience.
- Post-graduation Plans
In January 2023, I start my Dietetic Internship with Keith and Associates. I hope to take and pass the Registered Dietitian exam in Fall 2023 to continue building my nutrition counseling business, Professionally Nourished, LLC.
