- Why I chose my major
I knew coming into UGA that I wanted to work with children and their families in some capacity, but I was not sure exactly how. After exploring different career paths with different majors, I discovered HDFS and felt it was the perfect fit. HDFS provided me with the solid foundation I wanted in order to better understand and help children and families with a variety of different backgrounds, needs, abilities, and desires.
- What I like most about FACS
Even though the majors within FACS are diverse, our college is full of people and professors who care about you and others so deeply. FACS has provided me with a place to not only learn, but also to be supported both inside and outside of the classroom by my peers and professors. I know that even after leaving FACS, the people I have met here are ones who will continue to support me throughout my future, and I could not be more thankful for them.
- Post-graduation plans
After graduation, I will be moving to North Carolina and plan on entering the workforce, using my experience and knowledge gained through HDFS to support children and their families.
