- Why I chose my major
Coming into college, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. As a freshman, my advisor recommended I take a Human Development and Family Sciences introduction class as an elective because I didn’t seem “passionate” about pursuing a science degree. I changed my major after that first day and never looked back. I love learning and talking about people and what shapes them. I became passionate about learning all I could about why people are the way they are. This degree has given me an abundance of knowledge and I am so excited to use these skills in my future career.
- What I like most about FACS
My favorite thing about FACS is the faculty. In this college, I found an advisor, a dean and professors who genuinely care so deeply about their students. They make the University of Georgia feel smaller and a whole lot more personal. Dawson Hall became such a safe place and a home in the midst of a large university. I found myself surrounded by faculty members who wanted me to succeed and wanted to ensure I had the resources and skills to do so. They were willing to give me any aid I needed and encouraged me along every step of the way. I truly couldn’t be more grateful.
- Post-graduation plans
After graduation, I am attending Augusta University to become a Physician Assistant. I ultimately would love to work in dermatology or pediatrics. I plan on eventually taking medication to my favorite place in the world, Romania.
