Why I chose my major

Coming to UGA, I knew I wanted a major that would prepare me for the real world, expand my world view, and lay the groundwork for a career in some sort of helping profession. Soon, I discovered HDFS. This major pushed me to think critically about the interaction between communities, families, and individuals and how they currently function in our society. I am so grateful to have found a major that I am so passionate about!

What I like most about FACS

I really love the community that exists within FACS. Through the course of my four years here, I have found professors, staff, and fellow students who make this big campus feel small. I feel so supported within this college and have been provided with numerous opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

Post-graduation plans

I will be pursuing a master's degree at the University of Tennessee in College Student Personnel. There, I will serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Jones Center for Leadership and Service.
