Why I chose my major

Financial planning is a skill everyone needs, yet few have been taught. After graduating from college and starting my new life, I realized I knew far less about personal finance than I would like. I chose to pursue a doctorate in financial planning so I could not only manage my own household’s finances, but also so I could educate and empower others to manage their resources and attain their financial goals.

What I like most about FACS

Opportunities for experiential learning, particularly through the ASPIRE Clinic, and supportive faculty who come from a variety of personal and professional backgrounds.

Post-graduation plans

Enjoy my family, develop financial education resources and continue producing academic research
