- Why I chose my major
I found my love for financial planning at 16 after a job shadowing day and I haven’t looked back since. I chose financial planning because it is the perfect mix of working with people and technical financial work. I also knew I wanted to complete my degree at UGA because of my love for the university and the amazing faculty in the financial planning program. After going through the major, I know I made the right decision.
- What I like most about FACS
My favorite part about FACS is the college feels like a big family, especially within your major. After a semester or two, you know most of the other students in your classes and there is a great sense of collaboration. The faculty and advisors are each personally invested in your success. I have had a great opportunity to build relationships with many of my classmates and professors, which is what makes FACS special.
- Post-graduation plans
I plan to jump into studying for the CFP® exam and take the November 2022 exam. During that time of CFP® preparation, I plan to travel for a few months then begin a part-time job, ideally in the financial planning industry.
