Why I chose my major

For me, it hasn't always been FACS. Upon coming to UGA I was set on a pre-professional career. It was not until my junior year that I discovered the home here for me at Dawson Hall. I knew I still had a passion for the medical field but discovered my strengths of communication, marketing, and understanding data patterns and decided to pursue Medical Sales. Dr. Dee Warmath was the first Consumer Economics professor that opened my eyes to the major that would become such a blessing in disguise. Consumer Economics seamlessly blends all aspects of consumer behavior which will be pivotal knowledge in the sales career field.

What I like most about FACS

FACS is a place that immediately feels like home. What stands out most about this college is how deeply its faculty genuinely cares about the success of its students. The mentors I have gained during my time at UGA, particularly within the FACS community, have been transformational in both my personal and professional growth. Their guidance, encouragement, and investment in me have helped shape the person and professional I am becoming. The relational connections built within FACS are what make this college so special. These relationships form deep roots that extend far beyond graduation, creating a foundation for continued growth, support, and connection for years to come after leaving UGA.
