Why I chose my major

I chose FACS Ed because I can teach students the science of their life. I want to give students the opportunity to have the resources to be the best possible versions of  themselves. While taking my FACS classes in high school, I realized just how important this subject is for students in middle and high school. What they learn at this point in their lives will help to shape their futures.

What I like most about FACS

I love how FACS is so diverse but also connects us with our focus on people’s lives. Anything I learn in FACS can be applied to my life in some way. While not many people know what I’m talking about when I say FACS Ed, I get the opportunity to explain it to them and why it is important too. I also love how engaged I get to be in classes because of how everything I can apply to help my students in the future
