Why I chose my major

I love food. I love people. I love it when people are happy with food. Health is so important, and nutrition plays such a big role in health. When people can experience enjoyment and well-being through food, that is truly a blessing. I chose my majors so I can help others build a better relationship with food and enjoy good, nourishing food to improve their health.

What I like most about FACS

FACS is a family. I have had amazing mentors and professors in FACS, and I have made some of my closest friends in this college. There is a sense of warmth among the people here, as well as a sense of dedication and passion that truly encourages students to be the best they can be.

Post-graduation plans

I will be attending Illinois State University to obtain my master’s degree and complete my dietetic internship in order to become a registered dietitian.
