National Kitchen & Bath Association
For Furnishings and Interiors, we have the UGA NKBA Student Chapter organization that meets six times a semester on Tuesdays to learn more about the kitchen and bath industry through guest speakers such as kitchen and bath designers, interior designers, manufacturer representatives, former alumni, as well as visiting local showrooms to learn more about that side of the business.
NKBA Gala
As for careers, this is another area in which an interior designer can continue their education through NKBA to become a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer. Additionally, the NKBA has a GALA in the fall in which they sponsor our students to present their projects from TXMI 3380 Kitchen & Bath Design at the NKBA Gala Awards Banquet. It’s an opportunity for the students to present their work and meet other industry professionals, so a great chance to network.
