- Why I chose my major
Having worked in retail since I was in high school, I have been involved with the fashion industry for some time now. I was speaking to one of my managers at Banana Republic around my senior year of high school when she mentioned I had a knack for this type of work; that put the idea of pursuing a career centered around fashion and clothing in my head. After this, I ran with the idea and saw that UGA had an exemplary textiles, merchandising and interiors department, and the rest is history!
- What I like most about FACS
I truly believe FACS is the best college in the university. I have absolutely loved my experience with these professors and peers and would not have had it any other way. These classes have developed my skills in many different areas and have allowed for a lot of interactions with other students and faculty. The TMI department in particular is extremely tight-knit and allowed me to form relationships that I will carry beyond graduation. These few years spent in Dawson Hall are definitely some I will never forget.
- Post-graduation plans
I plan to continue working at Kempt for the summer as I am searching for post-grad opportunities. I look forward to putting these skills I have acquired from school and work into a really great career!
