- Why I chose my major
Growing up, I always seemed to be the child dressed to the nines at every birthday party. There was something about fashion that was always so striking to me, and I was able to build on that as I slowly grew into the woman I am today. I started working in retail when I was 15 years old as a sales associate, and have continued to work throughout college as a personal stylist. My love for fashion stems from the connection to people, and the creativity of it all. Your best, most authentic self absolutely shines when you feel confident in what you are wearing, and this part of the fashion world has grown to become the driving force of my passion for fashion: the way that an outfit can instill excitement, beauty and drive in a woman. I chose this major because I want to work in something I am so passionate about, and I want to have the ability to connect with women from all over to build relationships, confidence and excitement in their own personal style.
- What I like most about FACS
FACS is definitely a family and an amazing community. I have been able to build a community of friendships and mentors throughout my time here at UGA, and I could not be more excited to watch the other graduates in my class grow both professionally and personally! Everyone is ready to help in any way they can, connect you with amazing alumni or push you out of your comfort zone in every way possible.
- Post-graduation plans
I will be working for fab'rik in Atlanta on the Experience Team. I have hustled for this company for over two years, and can't wait to get started. The company's mission is to build High Style with Heart, and I cannot wait to be a part of it.
